Andres Aquino is a New York-based entrepreneur, award-winning fashion designer, writer, event producer, global high-tech and luxury product marketer.
A fixture of the New York fashion scene, Andres Aquino is the founder and producer of Couture Fashion Week New York, one of New York Fashion Week’s most prestigious events, for some thirty seven consecutive seasons.
Mr. Aquino has shown his collections at important fashion events worldwide including in Dubai, Bucharest, Cannes, Monaco, New Delhi, Nepal, Malaysia, Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as in multiple cities in the USA, and has been featured in numerous top fashion media and publications in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, North America, and The Caribbean including Collezioni, Book Moda, ModaStyle International, Rendezvous de la Mode, Listín Diario, I-Fashion, Fox TV, Fashion TV, Zee TV, Russian TV, Chinese TV, FashionUnited.com, and many more. His designs have been worn by numerous celebrities, beauty queens and socialites.

Andres Aquino is the founder and director of the annual Global Short Film Awards, a competition attracting exceptional films from more than 80 countries, culminating with a black-tie awards gala in Cannes, France scheduled to coincide with the Cannes Film Festival. Mr. Aquino is also the founder of Aquino Global LLC, an international trading company. As an entrepreneur he is also involved with large mining consortium, 3D technology, sustainable green hydrogen energy and others.

A native of the Dominican Republic, Andres Aquino earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Boston College. As a philanthropist he has supported a number of causes and foundations ranging from United Nations NGOs assisting children and women in developing countries, to non-profit organizations raising awareness and championing solutions for diabetes, cancer and anti-bullying. Most recent championing Equal Rights for Children Foundation.
Andres Aquino’s numerous accolades include the Legacy Award at Latin Fashion Week (Washington, D.C.), Style Fashion Leader and Inspiration Award from the Fashion & Merchandising Program at SUNY Westchester Community College, New York; the Scissors Award (professional hair styling association), and an EL Award presented by El Diario La Prensa to outstanding Latino leaders in the Tri-State area in the business, entertainment, sports and community arenas.
